John Moos was born and raised in the small town of New Braunfels, Texas located between Austin and San Antonio. After completing high school where he focused much of his attention on art classes he then attended a three year apprenticeship course, following in his families footsteps by becoming a journeyman structural ironworker, constructing steel buildings in nearby cities for fourteen years.

John’s interest in abstract art led him to unleash his creative talents through the years into many fields of working with metal, glass, wood, clay and other medium.  He has an endless imagination, constantly exploring and researching new ideas. John is now applying his craftsmanship to designing and creating metal art by combining several techniques such as grinding, hammering, welding and sculpting the metal.  Each piece is completed by rusting, heat treating or applying a shimmering paint.

Along with offering his artistic items at the Old Gruene Market Days he also owns and operates a retail store near Clear Springs providing the public with a vast array of unique art. He hopes to enhance your lives with joy and appreciation of each piece he has created with much passion.  For custom work he can be contacted at 830-625-5696.
